"One Down, Three More to Go"

First Quarter is almost done, I gained new knowledge, new learnings and new experiences. First quarter is like my warm up every school year, I don’t excel that much in this quarter but I always try my best. Different subjects, different learnings, different experience but I have only one goal, which is to finish the quarter without regrets. I’ve learned different equations with Math, how to prepare from different calamities with Araling Panlipunan, understanding texts with English and understanding the movements of the earths surface with Science. I’ve also learned about internet access or connections with ICT, creativity and healthy activities with MAPEH, new learning with Basic Electronics, stories with lessons to learn in Filipino, some parts and different types of Research and learning good morals with Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao.

In the process of learning, we always encounter problems and challenges, especially we are in the pandemic situation and classes is happening through modular and online. There are times that I don’t understand some parts of the concept notes and some instructions given by our teachers. There are also times when I feel exhausted while reading the concept notes and doing my school works. But I overcome these challenges through asking teachers and classmates about something that is not clear to me, by having time management and taking a rest when I feel exhausted.

I know that I did my best during the first quarter but I will do better in the next quarters. I may not be the best and fast when it comes to learning new things, but one thing is for sure, I am willing to learn and will continue learning to expand my knowledge and understanding to things that is very important. I will work harder and smarter in the next coming quarters. I will trust the process and be with the process.

"New Chapter: Realizations and Changes"

New year, new me. I always encounter good and bad experiences every year but with those experiences, I'm learning something. Something that can make me a more better person, good and ideal man to everyone. There is no perfect person in this world, mistakes always happen, but that doesn't mean we will let ourselves keep on making mistakes but not learning anything from it. Through out the year 2021, I had encounter my ups and downs, my happy and sad moments, my tough and hard moments but thanks to this moments, I am now becoming stronger and better person.            New year is coming, it means new chapter of our life, new life experiences and encounters will come. Realization of things that happened this year will make us ready for next year's challenges. We all do fast flashbacks on what are the things we did this year, and what should we do to change or maintain those thing for next year. And by that, we will ...

“The Right Type of Resilience”

We Filipinos are known because of our resiliency. Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from problems or difficulties. The Philippines is very vulnerable to disasters, it is one of the natural hazard-prone countries in the world. The country is highly prone to natural disasters like earthquakes, tropical cyclones, floods, and volcanic eruptions. Destructions of agricultural products, houses, and government properties always happen after a disaster. But Filipinos will try to overcome this suffering and traumatic disaster experience, showing their resiliency.      In an article written by Pamela, she stated that “Every time, the Filipino nation has to endure, brave the chaos, and stand up the next day. It is from this that we’ve grown to be called a resilient nation. Because we have had to become one.” Being resilient is not a bad thing, but we tend to forget that we’re supposed to be striving for something more. What we need to do af...

"Education: A Right and Not a Privilege"

Many things has been change because of the COVID-19 pandemic that also causes the whole world to shut down. Last school year, schools here in the Philippines did not open and learning happened through online classes and distance learning. As a student, since it’s my first experience to do learning alone in a whole school year, I feel so exhausted and stressed during those times. There are times that I feel like I can’t continue studying anymore, that I can’t finish all my works in time and many more thoughts that made my energy down in the whole school year. I feel bad for myself because I did not adapt all the things that I need to learn that year because of the pressure I felt.          The new normal of learning is really hard for us students because not all of us can access internet or sometimes we have slow connection, and also lack of gadgets to use especially to those students who are expe...
