“To Learn: Overcome and Try"

3^rd quarter is coming to end, time really moves so fast. One more quarter to finish and my Grade 10 journey will going to end already. Another learning experiences, challenges and discoveries.

The feeling that I have felt during the 3^rd quarter is just incomparable from the other quarter’s that had passed. I felt so pressured because there are too many task and works to do, there are times that the given task is not what I am good at doing. I’m so down reading the number of task given in every subjects, I’m so pressured, but I pushed myself despite the pressure and stress I am feeling. I conquer my pressure, I tried my best in doing every task given even though some of them are not what I am good at. I can still say that I did well during 3^rd quarter, despite the problems and emotional days that I had experienced.

Life is all about learning, and for you to learn more, you need to overcome every fear and pressure you have. Let yourself do the things you are not familiar with, try to expand the things that you can do. Conquer and try for you to learn more and better. One more quarter and the junior high school learning chapter will end, new chapter of learning will come and open. I did my best in this quarter, hoping for a good result!

"The Battle of Bataan: The Bataan Death March"

The Battle of Bataan happened during the World War II, began on January 6, 1942 and ended on April 9, 1942 as the Bataan troops surrendered. After the Filipino and American Bataan troops surrendered to the Japanese troops, the Bataan Death March happened. Most of the prisoners(Bataan troops) began the long walk in Mariveles, at the tip of Bataan, and had to march the full 66 miles to the rail head; others joined along the way. The Japanese brutalized their captives during the march north to the trains that would take them to a prison camp. They beat them incessantly, sometimes to move them along, sometimes just for sport. Many of the prisoners were battle worn and incapable of keeping up the grueling pace of the march, especially in the tropical heat and with little water. And now, our grade 10 journey is going to end in a few days, which means, junior high school life comes to an end too. It's been a wonderful moment, our beloved junior high school life. Learning, discoveries, improvements, and maturity throughout this phase of life. During the 4th quarter, we were able to have a chance to experience face to face learning again after 2 years of having distance learning. We were able to get that special experience and a wonderful moment for a short time. I was able to enjoy and appreciate the courage, strength and guidance of our teachers during this last quarter. The laughs, stories and short memories we made during this short time moment will truly and forever be with us. For how many years, we have seen how people neglected and ignored their waste, with no proper disposal and lack of responsibility. People's ignorance towards the environment and its effect is now little by little being visible in our sights. The numerous plastics and other waste materials covering rivers, floods in various urban areas because of trash trapped in drainage, and harming different species in land, water and air. The global effect of neglected wastes and improper waste disposal is very dangerous to our environment and our health. We need to fight this harmful effects for us and our environment to be safe. We can help to combat these problems by simply practicing the proper waste disposal through separating the biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials, the usage of biodegradable materials in daily life, helping different programs and organizations that aims to guide people, protect the environment, and advocates cleanliness in the environment.
