"Women's Rights Matter"

Women has been contributing a lot to the different main sectors of society like education, social work, agriculture and politics. Over the past decades, the rights of women to make an income for themselves, contribute and be involve to the society, and have access to basic needs has been being seen and gradually attained by women. The Republic Act 9710 or The Magna Carta of Women (MCW) is a comprehensive women’s human rights law that seeks to eliminate discrimination through the recognition, protection, fulfillment, and promotion of the rights of Filipino women, especially those belonging in the marginalized sectors of the society. It conveys a framework of rights for women based directly on international law. The world can't work without women, so, giving them respect and importance is a must thing to do. Women is powerful and important to the society. Women workers rise!

We Filipinos are known because of our resiliency. Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from problems or difficulties. The Philippines is very vulnerable to disasters, it is one of the natural hazard-prone countries in the world. Many things has been change because of the COVID-19 pandemic that also causes the whole world to shut down. Last school year, schools here in the Philippines did not open and learning happened through online classes and distance learning. As a student, since it’s my first experience to do learning alone in a whole school year, I feel so exhausted and stressed during those times.
