Father’s Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in June in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, India, and a number of other countries around the world. Father’s Day celebrates and honors the men who have embraced the essential role of fatherhood. On this day, we also thank fathers and father figures (uncles, grandfathers) for the sacrifices they make, for embracing the responsibility of nurturing and raising children, and for devotion to their family.

On Father’s Day many people make a special effort for their fathers or father figures. Some people visit their fathers, while others give cards, flowers or other gifts, such as clothing or sporting equipment, or luxury food items. Father's Day is a relatively modern holiday, so different families have different traditions. These can range from a simple phone call or greetings card to large parties honoring all father figures in an extended family. Father figures can include fathers, step-fathers, fathers-in-law, grandfathers, great-grandfathers and even other male relatives.

Maybe, a lot of us are not showy about our appreciation and feelings towards our father, especially with celebrations like this, but simply saying "thank you" and "I love you" is enough for them. Simple appreciation with their hard work for the family, being grateful for their protection and love. Let's naturally celebrate fathers day just like how we celebrate mothers day. Our fathers have work hard to keep the family in love and safe. Happy fathers day!!!

"The Battle of Bataan: The Bataan Death March"

The Battle of Bataan happened during the World War II, began on January 6, 1942 and ended on April 9, 1942 as the Bataan troops surrendered. After the Filipino and American Bataan troops surrendered to the Japanese troops, the Bataan Death March happened. Most of the prisoners(Bataan troops) began the long walk in Mariveles, at the tip of Bataan, and had to march the full 66 miles to the rail head; others joined along the way. The Japanese brutalized their captives during the march north to the trains that would take them to a prison camp. They beat them incessantly, sometimes to move them along, sometimes just for sport. Many of the prisoners were battle worn and incapable of keeping up the grueling pace of the march, especially in the tropical heat and with little water. And now, our grade 10 journey is going to end in a few days, which means, junior high school life comes to an end too. It's been a wonderful moment, our beloved junior high school life. Learning, discoveries, improvements, and maturity throughout this phase of life. For how many years, we have seen how people neglected and ignored their waste, with no proper disposal and lack of responsibility. People's ignorance towards the environment and its effect is now little by little being visible in our sights. The numerous plastics and other waste materials covering rivers, floods in various urban areas because of trash trapped in drainage, and harming different species in land, water and air. The global effect of neglected wastes and improper waste disposal is very dangerous to our environment and our health. We need to fight this harmful effects for us and our environment to be safe.
