"Doing Better, Improving"

Second quarter is already coming to end, the time moves so fast. It feels like first quarter just ended last week. Its been a full of learnings and new discoveries. I became too relaxed last first quarter to the point that I almost got failed grades. But I used it as a motivation to do better and to improve myself. And I think I've done much better during this quarter and I'm so proud of myself for that.    I did encounter the same problems from last quarter. There are times that I don’t understand some parts of the concept notes and some instructions given by our teachers. There are also times when I feel exhausted while reading the concept notes and doing my school works. But I overcome these challenges through asking teachers and classmates about something that is not clear to me, by having time management and taking a rest when I feel exhausted.    Moving on, I will continue doing my best with my academics. Its tiring and hard but I know its part of ...

The celebration of Vigan City Fiesta is held in honour of St. Paul the Apostle, the City's patron, has been a traditional doing of the City Government of Vigan and the bigueños every January 25, every year. Locals and tourists gather to experience and see the street dancing, carnivals, food fairs, and arts and crafts, adding to the attraction of this UNESCO World Heritage City.          But due to the pandemic, the traditional way of celebrating Vigan City Fiesta has stopped and changed. Last year, the City Government and the bigueños celebrated it through online. Many contest/competition happened through online like street dancing family edition, longganisa cook contest and many more.          The usual way of celebrating the fiesta has change due to the pandemic, but the essence and the pure message of the festival still remains the same. Christmas: A Celebration of Hope, Love and Joy

Christians usually celebrates this special occasion because Christmas is when the lord and our savior was born. Philippines has the longest Christmas season in the world, it begins in September and ends in December or first week of January. Christmas is not only about celebrating the birth date of Jesus, but also a celebration of giving, happiness, kindness, hope and love.             Filipinos celebrates Christmas by having Christmas carol, a small fiesta in barangay or with their   neighbor and also sometimes Filipinos takes Christmas season as a chance to have a family reunion where all the family members are present from grandparent’s to grandchildren’s. Christmas is all about happiness but due to Covid-19 pandemic, we are preoccupied with guidelines on how to celebrate Christmas this year– with only members of t...

"Help and Protect The Children in this Time of Pandemic"

In this time of pandemic, all people in the world are affected, not only the adults but also the children especially with their mental health. Children are not the face of this pandemic. However, they run the risk of becoming one of its most prominent victims. While they have thankfully been largely spared from the direct health effects of COVID-19 - at least to date – the crisis is having a profound effect on their wellbeing. All children, of all ages, and in all countries, are being affected, in particular by the socio-economic impacts and, in some cases, by mitigation measures that may inadvertently do more harm than good. This is a universal crisis and, for some children, the impact will be lifelong.             The disruption to routines, education, recreation, as well as concern for family income and health, is leaving many young people feeling afra...

"Environment Protection: Change To Help"

Environment is our life, it's situation is also our situation. We have been being ignorant towards our environment, we've been being violent, over using and abusing it for how many thousands of years. Now, we are experiencing Climate Change and we have been just notified recently that we might experience its irreversible effect in the incoming years. We often forget how much humans depend on nature. Even city-dwellers living in modern skyscrapers need air to breathe, water to drink, and food to eat, all of which are provided by nature. True, you can buy bottled water and ready-to-eat meals in supermarkets, but they were not produced there.           To prevent from worsening the situation of our environment, we need to protect and care for it. We need to follow the 3 "R's", Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to conserve natural resources and landfill space. Volunteer to cleanup drives in your community o...

I’ve learned different equations with Math, how to prepare from different calamities with Araling Panlipunan, understanding texts with English and understanding the movements of the earths surface with Science. I’ve also learned about internet access or connections with ICT, creativity and healthy activities with MAPEH, new learning with Basic Electronics, stories with lessons to learn in Filipino, some parts and different types of Research and learning good morals with Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao.           In the process of learning, we always encounter problems an...

"Education: A Right and Not a Privilege"

Many things has been change because of the COVID-19 pandemic that also causes the whole world to shut down. Last school year, schools here in the Philippines did not open and learning happened through online classes and distance learning. As a student, since it’s my first experience to do learning alone in a whole school year, I feel so exhausted and stressed during those times. There are times that I feel like I can’t continue studying anymore, that I can’t finish all my works in time and many more thoughts that made my energy down in the whole school year. I feel bad for myself because I did not adapt all the things that I need to learn that year because of the pressure I felt.          The new normal of learning is really hard for us students because not all of us can access internet or sometimes we have slow connection, and also lack of gadgets to use especially to those students who are expe...

“The Right Type of Resilience”

We Filipinos are known because of our resiliency. Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from problems or difficulties. The Philippines is very vulnerable to disasters, it is one of the natural hazard-prone countries in the world. The country is highly prone to natural disasters like earthquakes, tropical cyclones, floods, and volcanic eruptions. Destructions of agricultural products, houses, and government properties always happen after a disaster. But Filipinos will try to overcome this suffering and traumatic disaster experience, showing their resiliency.      In an article written by Pamela, she stated that “Every time, the Filipino nation has to endure, brave the chaos, and stand up the next day. It is from this that we’ve grown to be called a resilient nation. Because we have had to become one.” Being resilient is not a bad thing, but we tend to forget that we’re supposed to be striving for something more. What we need to do af...

“A letter for the President of the Philippines”

Dear Mr. President,                         Good day Mr, President, how are you doing? It’s hard to lead a country isn’t it? I know that being a president and leading a whole country is such a big responsibility. When making a decision, you need to think smartly for the betterment of your people. I can say Mr. President that your Build, Build, Build(BBB) program is such a big help for our country. Making and building more roads, bridges and railways to make the Philippines more connected. Rehabilitations and constructions of airports for a larger number of tourist accommodations and building more classrooms and hospitals for the nation.               Mr. President there is no person that is so called perfect, we all make mistakes. But when you are a leader of a nation where the sake and safety of your p...
